Well, that's definitely Norwegian, but finding it in a sea of porn was rather cringy. :o Naturally, the download links didn't work, so I'm trying to record the audio while it plays. That's all I want. I'd like to merge it with the visually superior Czech dub. You see, I *SHOULD* be able to understand most of the Norwegian. I'm moderately proficient in reading it and Swedish, but listening to either of them most of the time it might as well be Klingon. I felt the thrill of victory when I understood an entire 5-word sentence in Jørgen + Anne = sant last week. I sense a ray of hope. I wouldn't mind a real ed2k link, though, in case this doesn't pan out. But thanks. The original intent of all this was to make subs of the Madicken series for my 10-year-old daughter. She's 18 now.

I'm downloading the full DVD from uloz.to and will make a MKV from it. Stay tuned...

Sorry about your hard drive. :(

I am now resharing with HighID the two Norwegian versions I posted here:

The first one is the same as what was posted here:

Yeah, that is a prominent feature of noodlemagazine. Just don't scroll down!

I copied ferdi's link from the FLM page so I did not even have to go to the site, and copied it into Jdownloader2. I am downloading it from there.

I found a similar / maybe identical video at VK.com. You generally do not get much porn there, and the page it is on is "clean".

It will download both with Jdownloader2 and yt-dlp.

Gee, she could have just used that time to learn Swedish herself! :P

Are you still working on that project, or did you finish it, or did you give up? Do you need the Swedish subtitles? They are posted here as a downloadable attachment:

Are you going to make subtitles? That would be great! :P

Didn't even have to scroll down! noodlemagazine sounds like a kids' site. Wrong! I'd never heard of it. Turns out the Norwegian version was on uloz, too, so I have it. I'm sure just remuxing that audio with the Czech video won't be enough. It's never that simple.

I was wanting to eventually. I guess I can give it try now, but I'm not sure now much I'll be able to figure out. However, I did catch a lot more scanning through it than usual. I might try slowing it down. The opening narration is about sickness coming to Jostedalen, but I'm not getting it all. This film has been sort of a challenge in learning Norwegian. The scenery is spectacular. I sort of equate it with Sweden's Ronja rövardotter.

Wow! Cool! I put it on indefinite hold. I think I once tried a translation from maybe Finnish, but that turned out garbage. I'm not a native Swedish speaker either, but I can read it moderately well, so I might give it a look see. Google does a remarkable job translating between Germanic languages, at least Norwegian, Swedish, and English. I kept getting stuck at the beginning of the first episode. "Far är de far?" "Får är du får ?" No combination of syllables I've ever come up with make any sense.

Limp noodles and stuffed shell conchiglioni.

I am sure an Adblocker helps. I absolutely keep mine on when I go there.

Oh boy, not nearly as light-hearted as that one though.

Machine translators have a really tough time with Finnish.

Off-topic Madicken response:
Spoiler:

Oh boy, now that I have looked I remember my being bewildered by Linus-Ida there, and other times. I think she is using some colloquial expression.

The SVT swedish subtitles has it as "Di far å di far.
Har di inget annat att göra?"

I am not satisfied with my original machine-aided English translation of that first sentence at all. I won't even repeat it, as I am sure it is wrong.

Taking your guesses as a clue, maybe the vowels are a little different, as in "Di far å du får." / "You give and you get."
? That sounds like something she would say.
I certainly do not know Swedish grammar and am still going with machine translations.

I think Madicken was my first ever attempt at translating Swedish, before I learned even a single word of it. I have only learned a little bit since, but there is much there that I would absolutely revise if I had the energy.

Here you are. The quality isn't outstanding but better than all versions we've got so far. And maybe some of Ghost's tricks could improve it a little bit...

TRO_94.mkv
Thanks a lot! Certainly there will be an upscale to HD.

Now we only need the Norwegian audio to get synced.

...and some subtitles. :(

My rip contains a Norwegian audio track as well. Regarding the subtitles, it should contain Czech ones as well just I can't see them. But I am sure that I've ticked the option to include them during the making of the MKV...

Oh yes! :P I could see it in the preview. And I only can see yellow subtitles!
