Só no Sertão features young Mel (Isis Dionísio), who is forgotten at home by her family who decide to take a trip in the dead of night after the matriarch, Martoni (Luís Costa), the city's mayor, is accused of illegal gold mining. A group known as Bode Caolho found out that the mayor's farm was empty and decided to invade it, but they didn't expect Mel to be there, much less that she would use every trick in the book to stop them.

Sorry ghost I could not resist jumping in and trying this one, especially when I saw the dreaded EIA-608 captions. I needed a challenge to prove to myself that I "could still do it". However, after extracting I only did the simplest of Google translations to English from the Portuguese, so there is still potential for improvement.

I'd probably able to extract the captions, but mediainfo tells me there aren't any captions in the video file. But when I play it with VLC, I can see captions. Very strange...

Could be mediaInfo / bug related. Ffmpeg is more powerful/advanced I would guess.
