A lawyer attends a mindfulness retreat to restore work-life balance but unexpectedly becomes a murderer and mastermind for the mob.
Personal Note:
This series really surprises me in its style. With lots of wit and an original story, it's very hard not to binge all the episodes in one go. I had to restrain myself from watching more than one episode a day in order to enjoy it. Tom Schilling as the lawyer is incredibly well cast, I already noticed him very positively in the movie “Oh Boy”, which is similarly cynical as this series.
The icing on the cake is the young actress Pamuk Pilavci as Emily, the daughter of lawyer Björn Diemel. She is seen a little more often in the first episodes, but appears briefly from time to time in the other episodes.
Most of the filming takes place in Berlin. The Story is based on a Book with the same Title.
