Tip for Blu-ray rip (but it's 18 GB file). I have downloaded it and the quality was a little bit disappointment for me, it looks only slightly better than DVD5. It has a lot of graphic noise...

OMG, 18Gig. Not even remotely possible for me unless I want to be a very old man before it completes.
Did you intend to include a link in your post? If so, it didn't work.

Re: [REL] Innocence (2004)
Thanks, jezevex.
Re: [REL] Innocence (2004)
Hi jezevex,
I did my own BluRay-rip (more than 20 GB unreduced) only by conversion with MakeMKV and it looks crisp and detailed.
Seems as if the reduction to 18 GB was not appropriately done.
In my file the grain of the film is visible and depending on the reduction method this can lead to a noisy picture.
Can you upload frames with strong visible noise? I will upload the same frames then for comparison. Thanks!
Sakura
Edit: I took a closer look and choose a frame at about 30:45. Yes, there is graphic noise.
It is too large to upload as attachment with unreduced quality, but it remembers strongly to the BluRay version of the second season of "Star Trek - The Next Generation" which had a lower quality than the other seasons.
In spite of this fact it is still much better than the DVD with 576i. The DVD presented a narrow Image between broad black stripes and had a real resolution of about 300 lines.
18 GB is indeed a massive file!jezevex wrote:Tip for Blu-ray rip (but it's 18 GB file). I have downloaded it and the quality was a little bit disappointment for me, it looks only slightly better than DVD5. It has a lot of graphic noise...

Re: [REL] Innocence (2004)
First: a big thank you to jezevex for the file and Sakura for the german subtitles!
I created a more "downloadable" version of the 18 GB BluRay rip. The picture quality of jezevexs`file wasn`t perfect, but still a lot better than the dvd. I included english and german subtitles.
I used a bitrate of 5000, increased the audio volume to 85.0 dB and fixed the german subs (which were out of sync).
Here is the result:

I hope you enjoy

Thanks, ghost. That file size is something I can handle, especially for this gem. And thanks again to jezevex and Sakura.
