RichThe only reason this film exists is to showcase it's star, the 11/12 year old girl who plays Teresa. There's no doubt about it, she's a real charmer. Very radiant, charismatic and precociously feminine.
Teresa's cute, there's no doubt about it, but not cute enough to warrant a 103 minute movie about her. Frankly, I got tired of her cute little light brown sassy cherub's face after about 15 minutes.
The rest of the movie is inoffensive enough. Like the rambling of a sweet and gentle aged relative whose lost most of their mental rigidity, this movie sort of effortlessly flowed over me. But at the end, I felt I would have more productively and more enjoyably spent the time taking a nap.
There is no dramatic tension in this film. It's not even episodic. It's only barely an unpolished documentary of a day in the life of a tiny fishing village, with the added bonus of a cute little nymphet pouting and prancing through it every other scene.
