by ARTHORIUS
Directors: Gaspar Noé
Year: 2002
Country: France
Runtime: 99 minutes
Genre: Crime / Drama / Thriller
Review:
Events over the course of one traumatic night in Paris unfold in reverse-chronological order as the beautiful Alex (Monica Bellucci) is brutally raped and beaten by a stranger in the underpass. Her boyfriend and ex-lover take matters into their own hands by hiring two criminals to help them find the rapist so that they can exact revenge. A simultaneously beautiful and terrible examination of the destructive nature of cause and effect, and how time destroys everything

Cool! Thanks for this one. I'd get this if I saw it posted anywhere else too, just because of the cover.

ART, what can I say??

First of all, I fkin love this film. The music, the cinematography - everything!!

I have 10 movies and shorts by Gaspar, all are very intriguing.

For the life of me though, the only part of the film I remember any kids in is at the end (and what a bloody amazing ending) where the children are playing with the sprinkler and the camera is rotating.

It’s been a while since I watched it so maybe I just forgot other OT scenes

As for the fire extinguisher scene - simply awesome, and one of the most disturbing scenes in a movie I ever saw.
