When I first started viewing this movie, I thought it was promising. Unfortunately, the five girls seen below in the first two images, are only in the movie for less than 30 secs. They quickly turn into 30-somethings for the rest of the film, with no further flashbacks.The chance sighting of a man who resembles someone from her past sends 32-year-old Manon into a tailspin, forcing her to confront long-buried memories. Smartly and sensitively directed by award-winning filmmaker Ghyslaine Côté, Elles Étaient Cinq is exquisitely shot by Alexi Durand-Brault and boasts a stellar young cast.
