I really, really, really HATED this film.

I don't recall where I found it online (nor do I have any desire to retrace my steps), but I watched this thing in its entirety a few months ago. YEEEEECH!!! is all I have to say about this dark, disturbing, twisted piece of drek. Unless, of course, young boys all dolled-up in BDSM leather and chains, child rape, torture, murder and cannibalism is your idea of a fun night at the movies.

On a secluded prairie farm, adolescent boys labour in wheat fields for a sexually predatory warden. One boy begins to receive visitations from a mysterious girl, who promises to help him escape.

Spoiler: Left out of that coy IMDb synopsis was the bit about the"mysterious girl" getting hacked apart with a scythe and literally turned into pâté de jeune fille. Which leaves the "one boy" to be violently sodomized, tortured and frog-marched to the local abattoir. Bon Appétit!

This was the first short film for Jeff Erbach, the guy who wrote and directed "The Nature of Nicholas" - I liked that film. I'm guessing Jeff has "issues" with young boys in the same way that Norman Bates "loved" his momma. I'd hide the kids and farm animals when 'ol Jeff comes ridin' into town, folks.

You know how it's said that you can never "unwatch" something? Well, I certainly wish I could unwatch "Soft Like Me."

Dammit, Hieronymus, stop writing such GLOWING recommendations for these movies!! You're going to have EVERYONE clambering to d/load this and without a full source THAT could lead to some very disruptive dialogue!!

Big question though: During the rape, torture, dismemberment, cannibalism; any good boobie shots??

This is a boy-movie from beginning to end. Only "boobies" in this unpleasant mess are 12-14 year-old boy boobies. Knock yerselves out, rape-torture-dismemberment-cannibalism-boy-boobie-lovers!
