Cant decide

I want a cheap half decent DVD player/recorder with the facility to play DivX movies.
Iv narrowed it down to these two because of the price and the availability in my area.
SR275M/XEU & DR18DTKTB
What’s annoying is that I cant find any reviews on them anywhere?... not even on Amazon.
Also, I wonder which one will play the widest variety of DivX versions.
Any feedback please, not including other players and why these two are pieces of crap compared to your £800 mother
Which one do I go for?
Thanks

I'm no expert but I quite like the quality of Toshiba stuff. When buying my flatscreen TV & DVD recorder it was a toss-up between Toshiba & Panasonic. Have to say Panasonic won in the end.
A point worth considering is whether either of these (or anything) will play AVI files encoded in Xvid, which seems to be used more often these days.
Cheers!

You'll get better feedback if you provide links to the manufacturer's page for the products.
Compare features, specifications, warranty, service reputation, then go for it.
Once you have bought it,
do not listen to any more comments.

I didn’t proved links because I was counting on a few of you googling the product codes.... which is pretty much as a fast as adding a link, of which there are many.
Thanks for the feedback anyway... I guess the products are too new to have reviews yet.

I have the xoro HSD 8410.

http://www.techradar.com/products/audio ... 336/review
It is pretty cheap, but it's a great dvd player! It can play DivX and Xvid files.. And: it has a scaler and HDMI.

It appears that I wasted my time writing....

Although maybe ill revise that statement for your recommendation deadarise!!
Your DVD recorder is £35 on Amazon!!
Funny that it doesn’t actually say its a DVD recorder, but who am I to argue with someone that has one.
To think of all those poor mugs spending £150 on DVD/DVDrecoder/DivX player machines.
Perhaps I should order it now before everyone finds out about this machine!!
