I have seen this movie when it was released and no doubt it is heart touching. I liked the point of view of a kid who came to know that what she was thinking about her were actually not true. It's a shatter to that small kid. And her search to find out who she is. And before and after she knows about her, the relationship between her and her foster-mom. That's a nice view. A R Rahman adds his stress by a good re-recording and songs. In this movie mani ratnam does not exaggerate or give advices (like in Vuyire) but simply narrates the characters as they are . And because of that the film exactly strikes the audience. The pool bath scene of chakkarvarthy and nandhitadas did not convey perfectly what it meant for. Mani Ratnam has amazingly improved.
This one is absolutely worth buying it. The girl looks and acts so gorgeous you can't resist her eyes. Pure beauty.
And there's also a short, very cute on-topic scene...
If we had a rating her, I'd rate this one a A+.

Almost agree... I would say B+, but the young girl is really cute and the story is great too (not as great as Leon, but not so bad...)
I recommend too, but as a second class.

Ok.. Here's an upgrade for infiniter [who sadly hasn't made it back since the end of April 2012..], and anyone else who fell in love with this little gem in the rough:
Once she arrives on screen [after the first 15 mins] Amudha takes control... Besides a lovely girl, the film also has some breathtaking cinematography..
kev.

A while back I remember seeing a music video from this movie that is really cool and looked for the movie but it wasn't out yet. Since forgot about it a long time ago and now it is here. Thanks for bringing it here.
If I can find the music video again I will post it.
