Dear FLM'ers,

I saw an OT clip of the film in question several months ago on SDDfilms.com (before it went belly-up). I've tried searching here on the forum, but I haven't been able to turn up anything on site, as of yet.

I think this was a Czech film, but it may be some other Eastern European country (like Hungary, or Poland, perhaps) - I also think it was released in the 1980's. It involves a group of school-aged boys and a girl (around 10 years-old) who appear to be on their summer holiday. The OT scene involves all the boys stripping down to their underwear and jumping into a pond for a swim. The girl goes behind a bush and removes her skirt, starts to remove her t-shirt, then thinks better of it. She jumps into the pond to swim with the boys in just her shirt and underpants. When they all get out of the water, she goes to recover her skirt, only to find that a cow is eating it. One of the boys pulls the skirt out of the cow's mouth, but it's torn and soiled. The girl takes it from the boy then stomps off down the road in a huff, still dripping wet, with her skirt in hand.

Since SDD appears to have acquired most of its films via this forum, I'm hoping that this particular film is here, still archived. If it is here, I'm sure I've just missed it in the Unlisted section, somewhere (hopefully). Does this sound familiar to anyone?

All requests for movie names should have such a clear and complete description of a memorable scene! I immediately remembered it and knew I'd seen it last year, just had to figure out the title.

YAY!!! That's it! Thanks so much for your help, FLL.

The problem was, as I went looking through the Czech [REL] threads, when I ran my cursor over the "Moře začíná za vsí " link, an oversized image of screencaps would pop up and I couldn't physically click the link. I just discounted it and kept on looking. Clearly, I ought to have been more persistent.

Next time, just turn off Javascript.
