Girl: Flora (13?) played by Diane Debassige(13?)The mother is played by a better actor, but for her age I guess Diane is not bad.
Thoughtfully presented short about Metis (Aboriginal-French mix) family living on the wrong side of the tracks in the 1930s, only in the sense of not owning their land. Touching relationship between mother and daughter. Girl likes to read books, and gets to know a ‘bad boy’.
