If you mean a flash-based video from youtube or similar, you need to click on embed on that site to get the code to paste here. It's an object tag.
If you want to see what it looks like, find a thread here where there is an embedded video posted and click quote, it will show you in the quoted message what the embed code is for that particular video.

Sadly not what I was thinking about.
I meant adding a swf file hosted on a server allowing hot linking.

You can use the youtube-thing for any swf, but flash is evil and I have it disabled, so I wouldn't see your animations anyway...
