Seeing BLT's latest post sort-of enticed me to give you guys an update on my status.
(hang on BLT! hope yr troubles will soon be over!)


Currently I don't have eMule running. I'm awaiting my FW800 HDD order before I start running it from an external HDD again, last time it went terribly wrong. But let me spare you the details.

Anyway to those who still remember me HELLO! AGAIN!
Last year I tried hard to get my collection back again, and stealthily visited FLM about maybe once a month.

I'm glad Ghost and ART are back! You guys were away for a while last time I checked. AND dearly missed.


Last year, quite frankly, I was feeling a bit disappointed at times.

As you know, I keep a site of research (lostmoviesarchive.com), do a lot of HQ rips and post here and there.
I saw copies of my rips (stripped off s!Xvid or aliv. tags) on eMule, usenet, rapidshare and (mostly) torrents,
and felt disrespected, NOT by my post being reshared but but other individuals taking full credits for it.

I am now over that. I still don't like it, but I guess that's just how the internet works. I'm sure LB, FLL, kev, starfish and others know what I mean.

OK, that being said -

I look forward to joining the team again. I see that there is no top 10 anymore of most prolific posters LOL! There goes my ambitions

OK before I go (148 posts still unread - I'm guessing lots of 'thank yous'), I wanna compliment the Brits with their new princess,
and the yankees with their new trophy. Let's hope the arabian sea wasn't polluted too much.

I figured that RL and other issues were keeping you away or at least from posting. Seeing LMA still cranking along made me feel that you were probably doing well, also.

LMA's new look is cool, and your write-ups/reviews are always insightful. Keep up the great work!

A break from FLM is no bad thing & your feelings concerning your material are quite natural & all too familiar.

I used to take grave exception to some douchebag using my rips, altering the filename, stripping my tag & passing it off as their own work. I'm far more laid-back about it now, reminding myself that in certain cases, I may actually physically own a hard copy but this doesn't automatically give me the right to dictate what happens to material with a dubious legal pedigree, even if I have produced it myself. You will also have experienced 'magic transformations' with your rips, ie VHS or TV rips suddenly acquiring DVD rip status! If posted to a reputable site I will generally try to inform & correct as I do not like deceit.

Fortunately this kind of rude behaviour doesn't seem to occur at sites such as ours & others with a select membership, sharing requirement or friendly forum, seemingly reserved for the more cretinous side of internet filesharing where the only requirement for access is an ability to draw breath.

Once again, another big-ups for FLM!

Yes I wholeheartedly agree with ya, and I must compliment all the FLM admins for keeping this a great place to return to!

Can't wait to get stuck in - i've seen some nice work by you (!) and many other folks that I can't wait to get my hands on. =)
Hope that HDD arrives soon. Not every shop sells Firewire 800 you see.. Like I said can't wait!
