Release date is February 14, 1981, not 1986 as RareFilmFinder still states. Japanese sites are unanimous about this (eg. https://eiga.com/movie/36541/)

Kanji title (you will probably have a greater chance of finding it on japanese sites - if at all): 子どものころ戦争があった

I looked around for this yesterday and several places said they had it to watch online but they were all scams. Even though it won awards, it just disappeared and was never heard from again. This is another one that's been on our watch list for a long time. I hope someone has it in a vault somewhere so it can be re-released some day.

The japanese page I referred to for info gives a text directly under a censored picture of the nude scene. Yandex Translator translates it as: "It is a silly pry, but I wonder if there is a problem in DVD conversion because the child becomes utterly stark-naked in the important scene ..." So, even japanese speculate why there is no DVD version ...

I've been looking at RFF for more than 5 years and I just thought the old movies were more difficult however thanks to the internet and the p2p
entering Japanese sites and they are just pure reviews nothing that I find the famous 'download' button
Something hopeful is the page where they rent the movie on VHS but it is also on amazon.jp in fact someone should risk paying $ 100 for that treasure would be heroic

and finally I realize the FLM users are all Western (Euro-America) if there were a Japanese would be easier and I believe in that country is prohibited downloads or shared material
