Welcome!

If you’re used to running P2P's like WinMX you will certainly notice things being a little slower on eMule.

Everyone here has there own tips for using eMule, and here are mine.

1.Set upload BW to a minimum of 11k/bs, or higher if you can manage it while running other P2P's at the same time.
Less than 11 and I notice download speeds running much slower.

2. Many of these films are very rare, and so obviously they lack in sources, thus can take a long time to complete.

3. The more you download the faster your speeds will become as you start sharing more and more partials. The more you share the more frequent your downloads will connect.... That works for me anyhow.

4. When a download completes, try to keep it shared. The more of us that share completed movies, the faster things will be for all of us.

5. Speed shouldn’t be a big issue with these rare films.
By the time people finish complaining about how hard it is to find such films, they could have completed them on eMule, even if it takes a few months for the really rare stuff.

6. From experience I find that files with high sources can complete in a few hours, and others can take weeks or even months, but the waiting is half the fun..... Looking forward to that moment the file turns green :)

7. There are many more little tips that can help you, and you will probably sus them out for yourself as you carry on playing with this great P2P.

I know the other members here will have some good advice to give you.

Good luck!
