It's obvious you can get it anywhere, what bothers me is that I deleted it from my channel for something as insignificant as moderate skin exposure and even more so that it's cinema and not something amateur if it can be illegal.

And I wonder why on other platforms like VK or Vimeo the same thing doesn't happen with censorship?

VK is Russian, so it is difficult to make a direct comparison with the American YouTube. I would expect they would have DIFFERENT content censored, rather than NO content censored. A better comparison is Vimeo and YouTube, because both are American. And I have to say you are right: they do seem to have different internal standards. This is to be expected when the heads of companies have great leeway to choose how to run their business. Why would they all be the same? It also seems to me that YouTube has a wider range of content, is a much larger company, and is way more popular. This makes it a bigger and more obvious target for criticism, and for legal action against it around the world. MAYBE - (I am just guessing here, I admit) - its censorship policies have developed as a result of the court cases it has been involved in.

I suppose youtube has big major companies advertising on the platform, so I suppose they don't want to be associated with any dodgy videos. I'm not sure about Vimeo as I can't remember if they have ads, and if they do I'm guessing it's not the same calibre of companies that advertise on YouTube.
