OK, back on topic: this is apparently coming soon to svtplay with broadcast rights all over the world, no VPN required! There is now a placeholder here:

https://www.svtplay.se/en-liten-julsaga

I say "apparently coming soon" because I am pretty certain this was not on the first page of Google search results when I looked for it a few weeks ago.

This would be the Swedish version, hopefully with subtitles that can be translated. Keep your eyes peeled as we advance into the holiday season.

I technically can and will watch a Christmas movie any time of the year, but I watched this either on Christmas Eve or Christmas Day.

Yes, she is cute!

I'm not hopeful but I'll throw it out here - does anybody know any subtitles available for this movie? Grabbed the german copy kindly linked by Nasuda - would be lovely to get the subtitles as it makes it easier to watch!

Super cute but I don't speak German (or Swedish for that matter - if we come across the original copy) so subtitles would be immensely helpful - it didn't stop me watching it as it's fairly easy to work out what's going on but subtitles would help future re-watches! :D

(I'm trying my hand at getting the original swedish version, got a couple of friends from Sweden and I'm hoping they'll be able to help out - stay tuned and fingers crossed!)

It has been a long time since I've replied to this thread but I wanted to give it some attention this Christmas. It is still one of my favourite Christmas movies, I cannot speak German (the copy I have is in German), but I still love this movie.

Merry Christmas guys and if you decide to watch it, I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.

Infinity, thank you for reminding me of this wonderful film! I have now found a video with Swedish audio, although it is only 360p:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EIlkNigSq4Q

There are also still no subtitles available.

However, I was inspired to remux the audio with katzenjammer's 576p Norwegian DVD.

Thank you thank you! Audio remuxing is something I haven't dabbled in yet. I am quite excited to be able to watch this in the original audio, and perfect time of the the year, too!

Oh, ME TOO!!! The German dub in particular is especially good, but I always prefer the original soundtrack even without subtitles. I vaguely recall various other language dubs being available when I went searching for this two years ago, but I don't understand any of the languages anyway and I simply included all the ones that I actually downloaded. The number of dubs proves this is popular, so it was super aggravating that I could not get the original.
