Thank you for the links. Turns out both 720p and 1080p versions of this film that I downloaded have only Russian VOs and no original audio. I don't mean to be picky, but does anyone have access to this film with original audio?

Has anybody else taken the time to watch this funny, yet heartbreaking film? :think

Let me retrace my footsteps real quick as this not a 'comedy-drama': It has some funny moments, but they're scattered here and there in this slice-of-life, coming-of-age, totally dramatic film. Giulia Salerno as Aria carries the film solidly on her back. Her expression's of excitement, fear, sadness, and even joy at times kept me enrapt in her story.

The only pix I could find online are her moody pix.. (She most definitely has more expressions than this.. ;) )

Giulia Salerno reminds me of a young Charlotte Gainsbourg [who plays her mom]; not model-esque beautiful; at times even awkward and gangly, yet still hauntingly attractive. This film is well worth a watch for Giulia's performance alone; but be warned: The movie takes a few heavy turns!
Spoiler:

OMG: There is a birthday party scene that will just rip your heart out if you have ANY compassion for a child that is just desperately trying to 'fit in' and find friends. If you read THIS first and THEN watch the movie, you'll probably get to a point in the film where something happens at a party and you'll think; 'that wasn't so bad'...

Trust me. You're not there yet. Almost, but not yet. You'll know when it happens.

I cringe remembering the cruelty.. (Yes, I consider THAT act worse than the trauma it triggers, due to the ?end? result.. :think )

I wanted to just embrace Aria so many times and let her know she did NOT deserve the heaps of shitte that were rained down on her from family and schoolmates.

There's a kid in her class that likes her, but she's focused on another boy. Yet even THAT kid [the one that likes her] turns out to be an ass in the end... [ :P ]
I'm glad I finally took the time to watch this. :heart It has it's plot holes and scenes that seem to point one direction and suddenly end and are not referred back to, but they did not detract [at least for me] from my overall enjoyment of the movie.

If you haven't seen it yet; give it a chance. I hope you'll find it 1:43:00 well spent. :bigups
