Quickest way to bulk add to emule

Post by kast1j »   0 likes

Hi, everyone.

As the title suggests, I'm looking for a way to bulk add things to emule. Going through every thread/page to add links to emule is time-consuming, so i'm wondering if there's a quick way to add everything this site has to offer to emule.

I suspect there isn't, and I'll have to do go through the site slowly at some point, but i've always been told, if you don't ask, you don't get. So if there is a quick way of doing things, I'd be grateful to hear it.

I am sure some Linux computer-hacker could write a script to do it. The only thing I know to speed up the search for links is to click "Show posts with ed2k links" at the top of a thread.

Look at it this way: if you are just indiscriminately clicking and loading links, that takes much less time than actually WATCHING the movies. If you look at the posts, you might be able to narrow it down to just what you ACTUALLY want to watch.

You're right of course. I'm just going through a lazy period where I want to do everything as quickly and easily as possible, even though the ideas my brain is coming up with probably aren't the actual quickest or easiest way to do things.

I hadn't considered that side of it. My computer freezes up at the least little thing already so probably not the best idea i've had, lol. It would take me years to watch everything so it would work out on that front.

I need a better computer for some of the stuff I want to do, most of it in fact.

I used to do some upscaling, not that I have your skill for it, Ghost, and I'd like to get back to it, improving old TV shows.

It's doable :P

You'd have to request reshare, because most of the links aren't shared anymore, but ultimately you'd probably be disappointed, because 20 years old releases are not really up to today's standards...

I'm familiar with the disappointment of older films when it comes to quality, but i'm sure there's enough gems on this site to make up for the disappointment of others. I know I've encountered some very enjoyable films on here that I might not have found anywhere else.

Heh, my mind immediately went to, "What kind of hard drive space is this guy sportin'?"

Similar to what mimzy is hinting at, if you opt to grab everything, you're potentially going to end up with a lot of dupes of older, lower quality encodes. Many movie REL threads here have been accumulating upgrades for several years, meaning there can be quite a few edk links per film.

I understand curating a collection takes a lot of time. Me, I am compelled to organize the movie downloads as I go and also only grab those films and shows that I have potential interest in. To grab them all would be so unorganized!

To get an idea of this, click the "Requested files" link at the top. So many of the emule names don't correspond to a movie title, it's crazy! Trying to fill some of the requests sometimes takes me more time than I'd admit, just trying to find out which movie it is associated with and making sure I have that exact file.
