Well, what do you know? This movie is available in HD now from the same site that gave us Olyan, mint otthon (1978) last year:

I'm not sure how to go about recording from this source though. Tried looking on several Hungarian torrenting sites and couldn't find a web-dl there. So I'm putting this out, in case somebody else on the board might have an easier time of it (or is already a filmio.hu subscriber). I will see if I can open an account and get access to the movie but that's proving difficult at the moment.

I did find out that the young girl in this movie is Irén Rácz, who was 13 at the time of filming during the summer of 1971. Here's an article with quite a bit of detail about the production:

Yes, I found that link too. It's an improvement over the versions previously available but low quality compared to the web-dl it was re-encoded from, which should be about 4-5 GB like the Olyan, mint otthon file as it comes from the same site. I was trying to decide whether I should add the ok.ru link to my post - but I didn't want to post the actual file. If I can manage to get a clean rip from filmio.hu I will post that.

I suspect this was the file uploaded to ok.ru, which of course the site compressed. Not as badly as YouTube (which would render it unwatchable) but there was still loss of detail.

Out of curiosity: where did you find this version? I looked everywhere. Even searching under the filename now I still can't turn up any references to it. Search engines are becoming more and more useless.

It is the only version I have seen. I assume someone downloaded it from filmio.hu and just added the English subs.
