Sorry ghost I could not resist jumping in and trying this one, especially when I saw the dreaded EIA-608 captions. I needed a challenge to prove to myself that I "could still do it". I'd probably able to extract the captions, but mediainfo tells me there aren't any captions in the video file. But when I play it with VLC, I can see captions. Very strange...
