I sort of agree with you Ferdi, it really bothered me with some of the changes, but I didn't quite hate it (other than the ending.) I do like the Mary actress in that one, but not more than Kate . Other than being too short do you recommend the 75 version?

I bought 1975 version off of Amazon and just got around to watching it. I really enjoyed it. Obviously, you can somewhat feel the budget of 1970s BBC miniseries vs a 90s Hollywood movie, but they made do with what they had. This Mary is very adorable and she stays a nasty brat longer which makes her character arc a bit more rewarding. Mrs. Medlock and Archibald Craven were much more human in this one, Medlock, in particular, is stern but also kind to Mary at times whereas the 90s version is nasty all the way till the end and her "change" at the very end is so sudden I didn't feel like it was earned, honestly.

I also liked seeing Martha and her family more. It seems like Frances Hodgson Burnett had a soft spot for less fortunate people as it's a major theme in this story and A Little Princess, and Martha is kind of an afterthought in the 90s version and even more so in the 2020 release.

Long story short, if you're doing a mini series you're going to have fewer time constraints than a one-hour and 40 min movie, so it was nice to see the story and character given time to breathe, but I still think 1993 is a visual masterpiece and has my favorite Mary.

Interesting movie. The Secret Garden Blu-ray (WBShop Exclusive) has been released in 2011, though I haven't seen it shared online. The best version I was able to find is a 1080p Amazon web-dl. Maybe someone can help and release blu-ray.

These paywall hosts are so annoying, anyway, maybe someone can get them.

I don't have a landline, only mobile internet (but it's flatrate thankfully). So filehosting (downloading fast and easy) is the best solution for me. Rapidgator is well used in these websites and I pay 4 Euros (per month) for a debrid service so I can get every movie, doku and series I want in FullHD definition. Last year the mobile network was updated where I live (15/3 mbit/s before; now 120/50 mbit/s). That's why I post occasionally some RG links here. I didn't get it myself so just the links. Somebody can download it and put it on Emule or anywhere.
