They are actually going in the correct order with the first 6 episodes, calling them Season 1. (Although some episodes are retitled yet again.) I can only hope they decide to continue with Season 2, which is not listed yet. Thankfully, it is NOT georestricted and "Can be seen all over the world".

I am actually downloading them because it is almost liking seeing them again for the first time.

So far we had season 1 of this series only in 576p and with or a blurred out watermark.

SVT Play is streaming the old unrestored series again at the moment.
The 6 episodes are not cropped to 16:9 and the watermark is outside the picture.

I "upscaled" season 1 to 1080p. Well, it was more an improvement of the picture quality.
She source footage was of pretty bad quality, so don't expect a sharp HD picture.

What a delightful surprise, ghost! I have long wanted an upgrade from my old versions because this is something I rewatch repeatedly. It was admittedly pretty sad that I was re-downloading files I already had "just because" it felt like something new. I am very excited to watch your actually new version!

And I also made new translations of the Swedish subtitles. I used DeepSeek AI, which is free, the models are open source and to my oponion it even does a better translation job than OpenAI GPT.

Chat GPT / OpenAI GPT / DeepSeek AI ... I can not even keep track of all the NAMES! Free and open source is always apealing to me.

I confess that I downloaded the files from pixeldrain even though I am perfectly capable of using eMule. I moved the files to an eMule shared folder so I can help for anyone who wants them from eMule.

CZECH AUDIO VERSION 576P

Some more direct-download links for this series while I am thinking about it ---

Many years ago there was a wonderful site named Ulozto that publicly shared files from around the world. While it existed I downloaded 576p TVrip video of the Czech-dubbed "Margyt" version of Madicken, with a brigtly colored station watermark in the corner. Maybe these videos are shared elsewhere now but I do not know because I am not in the Czech streaming world.

Thanks a lot for the Czech dubbed files, Night457. Their picture quality seems to be the best for season 1.
If I'm honest my edit of the videos from the current streaming on SVT Play didn't turn out very well. Especially the darker scenes were much too dark.

I used the Czech ones, removed the logo (as good as it was possible), upscaled them to 1080p, did some color changes and muxed them with the original Swedish audio tracks.

This time I'm very pleased with the results:
