In the good old days of the 90's when I was a kid, my parents used to buy me almost all the Walt Disney VHS tapes, like: The Lion King, Aladdin, Dumbo, The Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast, Hercules, Tarzan, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, Cinderella and so on. But I never saw Lilo & Stitch, now going to my streaming source I see that there is also the sequel and the TV series. Now I will try to download them all and watch them before going to the cinema to see the remake, I still have time.

I watched the trailer for the first one, the one released in 2002, and I have to say that it's attracting my attention, a little girl with an alien who cause trouble against her mother, I like this. Now I'm starting to watch the first one, in the meantime on Wikipedia I found the plot of this remake.

A lonely Hawaiian girl named Lilo forms a strong bond of friendship with an alien named Stitch, believing him to be a dog but who in reality was created by the eccentric scientist Jumba Jookiba to be a weapon of planetary destruction who came to Earth to escape his control.

Nani is actually Lilo's older sister and they are orphans. The creators had to add some dialog near the beginning to make their relationship clearer, because Nani has been forced to act as a parent when she is barely an adult herself. Lilo is quite a handful.

Someone "forced" me to watch the trailers for the original way back when because I was an anti-Disney adult and could not imagine it being any good. I then just had to see it.... and loved it! I have not seen the sequel and did not even know about the series. I hope this new live action adaptation does it right!

I remember more the animated series that came out because at that time I watched a lot of Disney Channel (closing the channel is a very bad decision) because of Lizzie Maguire or Hannah Montana , I didn't watch Lilo but I only remember the scene where she hides in the cooker.
