Trailer: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fjNa0ox7LRgRose is a substitute teacher. In her new class, in Saint-Nazaire, she teaches Lisa. Seeing that Lisa often sleeps in class, Rose takes her to the infirmary. The nurse tells the teacher that Lisa has bruises on her body and Rose is worried. She reports it to social services, who do not notice anything abnormal. One evening, Rose visits the little girl and finds her in a trash can. She takes her with her and decides to keep her close to her. Rose and Lisa fake a drowning: Lisa leaves her schoolbag on the edge of the shore and leaves by car with her teacher. To avoid arousing suspicion, Lisa changes her first name and becomes Charlotte, in homage to her favorite cake, strawberry charlotte. They both leave for Bordeaux where Rose's adoptive family lives but also her biological mother who abandoned her at the age of 4 and whom she has never seen again.
