But I really would like to know the reason why you do not start the download of my links that I shared on eMule?

I've never been a computer genius, I did what I could to share my files on eMule, if it doesn't work for you then there's no point in sharing. Anyway, yes, my eMule has been running since this morning.ghost wrote: Mon Mar 24, 2025 8:38 pm - Are the files in your shared folder?

I don't know what's the reason. My eMule just can't find you as a source. It's always red.
What about you, guys?

I actually can't find it in any source, because I don't have a source.ghost wrote: Mon Mar 24, 2025 9:07 pm I don't know what's the reason. My eMule just can't find you as a source. It's always red.

If you would care to post a screenshot of your eMule Servers tab then I or someone else could try to analyze what is wrong. For the sake of privacy you should use something like Paint to cover up your IP-Port information. I still need to see the Status and Connection information.Caleyunior wrote:
Shockingly I have actually had some success at this sort of thing. If you have some patience for a little back-and-forth Help thread exchange, I am willing to try to help.
Here is my sample screenshot with IP scribbled over:

Re: eMule sharing problems
Some basic questions:
Are you able to download complete files in emule?
Have you ever uploaded a complete file in emule? (That is, a 3 GB file uploaded a full 3 GB.)
Are you LowID or HighID? I would see that in the lower right corner of a Servers tab screenshot.

Re: eMule sharing problems
As you can see from Caleyunior's screenshot he has only uploaded 12,2 MB so far and only from one file.Have you ever uploaded a complete file in emule? (That is, a 3 GB file uploaded a full 3 GB.)
Let's wait for his reply. Then we can go on...
Re: eMule sharing problems
Answers to those questions will probably answer everything. My guess is that it's the usual lowID problem -- in order to download from Caleyunior (lowID?), he must download something from you (highID) at the same time.Night457 wrote: Tue Mar 25, 2025 2:22 am Some basic questions:

In sum, lowID is OK for downloading (from highID, such as ghost), but only causes frustration when trying to share. If downloading also doesn't work, then it must be some other problem.
Re: eMule sharing problems
I have known for years that two emulers with LowID can not directly share with one another, but somehow I missed learning about that additional restriction.mimzy wrote: Tue Mar 25, 2025 9:42 pmMy guess is that it's the usual lowID problem -- in order to download from Caleyunior (lowID?), he must download something from you (highID) at the same time.
