[REL] Star Trek (Multiple TV Series 1966-present)

Post by Night457 »   4 likes

I whimsically mentioned a Star Trek: The Next Generation episode here: viewtopic.php?p=124456#p124456

The many hundreds of episodes across multiple series over the decades are mostly about adults having adventures in outer space. However, there are a handful of episodes featuring children that could be of FLM interest. I think it reasonable to put any that anyone wants to share in one thread rather than creating a new thread for each series.

Star Trek: The Next Generation (TV Series 1987–1994)
s6e7 "Rascals" (Episode aired Oct 31, 1992)
Set in the 24th century, the series follows the adventures of the Starfleet crew of the Federation starship Enterprise-D. In this episode, the bodies of Captain Jean-Luc Picard (Patrick Stewart) and three other crewmembers are reduced to those of 12-year-old children in a transporter accident. When a group of Ferengi pirates boards the Enterprise, the "children" must work with Commander William Riker (Jonathan Frakes) to take back the ship while coming to terms with their newly found youth.

[Specifically I was amused by Chief Miles O'Brien being perplexed with his wife and mother of his child suddenly inhabiting the body of a 12-year-old girl. He was no Humbert Humbert, and Star Trek was family entertainment...]

Thanks @Night457! I will download and watch this episode. I also love the Star Trek series.

PS: It seems like there is a duplicate topic:

Aaaaaaaack! I wondered about that strange error. Somehow I double-submitted my post. It is fixed now. Thank you.

Same episode, larger file with higher bitrate and DTS audio; same subtitles resynced, but still imperfectly. [Code] [Code] All (?) live action series IMDB links:

I have not seen any episodes of half of the different series, so I really do not know exactly what ones would have episodes even possibly eligible for FLM. I suspect not many, but I list them all for reference.

Picard child is not bald
I remember a movie from 1994 where Captain Picard and Captain Kirk meet as a crossover in a parallel universe there is a Picard family dinner and the children appear in a short scene I guess it doesn't qualify for FLM.

Star Trek: Generations (1994)
Agreed, I think that one scene is too little child content for FLM! I mostly remember Picard & Kirk ganging up on an aged Alex from A Clockwork Orange AKA "Caligula" (Malcolm McDowell).

I don't remember this TV episode at all! I will check it out, thank you.

Why would he be? ;)
There was a flashback episode where young Starfleet cadet Picard gets stabbed in the heart during a bar brawl with a Nausicaan. During most of the episode we the audience see old Patrick Stewart, but there are brief glimpses of a young actor playing him as he would appear to his friends at the time. (Nothing for FLM in that episode.)

Don't worry, they gave him a new heart.

Man, you guys are really making my day with a bit of Star Trek discussion going on here at FLM. Ahh, and I loved the nearly always irritable Chief Miles O'Brien. Glad he stayed around for DS9.

I guess I could pitch in the DS9 season 2 episode "Shadowplay", with little Noley Thornton. She sadly isn't one of the main crew members, but perhaps has just enough of an important role to qualify here.

Two options, one regular dvdrip, the other an older AI upscale.

I have commented plenty on that episode, so I will simply link other Noley Thornton FLM movies. :D
The Giant of Thunder Mountain (1990)
Heidi (1993 TV)
The Little Riders (1996)

Thank you for recommending this episode. I watched this episode yesterday and it was really fun and the four little actors were really great.

It was an interesting topic and design, and when they became children they were upset and thought it caused inconvenience, and it was not until later that they began to learn to cherish the experience.

This is indeed an experience that many people dream of, if we could have another childhood without having to go through the pain of growth…
