Thank you Dave! I remember nothing of the PLOT for "My Spy (2020)" but I remember I liked the leads, and this sequel brings them back. Supposedly the first movie did not make money so it is a surprise that there was a sequel. It looks like Dave Bautista has been gaining attention in movies since then.

It must've built up an audience after it was picked up by Amazon Prime, so they figured they had enough viewership to justify a sequel. Explains the long delay. Amazon itself bankrolled the production and it premiered directly on their platform.
