[REL] Lilo & Stitch (2025)
Re: [REQ] Lilo & Stitch (2025)
I only use social media for a few things so I was surprised to see how much they're promoting this. I had no idea. But I can't be hyped without knowing it's any good. I'd have to actually see it.
Having the same guy who did Marcel the Shell is a definite plus though. That makes me a little more optimistic.

Re: [REQ] Lilo & Stitch (2025)
I'm happy to publish these new images taken from the trailer of the Disney Italia channel, where the older sister Nani runs after little Lilo after the mess she made during the dance, just like in the original. For those living in Europe, the movie Lilo & Stitch (2025) will be released in theaters on May 21, while those living in America will have to wait until May 23.
Sorry if I update this thread too much, but I'm getting too attached to this remake, I read too many, too many positive comments on various sites and social networks, all saying "YAY I can't wait for it to come out", "I can't wait to get excited" etc. They're even talking about it on TV news since it's an international Disney film.

No, do not apologize!!! There are plenty of movie lovers at FLM, so it is great to see someone so openly enthusiastic about an upcoming release!Caleyunior wrote: Fri May 16, 2025 3:46 pm Sorry if I update this thread too much, but I'm getting too attached to this remake

That's what the thread is for. It's appreciated.
Also I loved that making of, it made me want to watch the original again.
Obviously I like these updates when and where I look for them.
Thanks

I searched Lilo & Stitch on IG once and now my account is flooded with Disney shit even when I set it not to show me posts containing words, users, etc. I can't look for anything else without it popping up. It's like having someone poor ketchup on your ice cream, I like both but don't bother me with it while I'll doing something else.Caleyunior wrote: Fri May 16, 2025 3:46 pmSorry if I update this thread too much, but I'm getting too attached to this remake, I read too many, too many positive comments on various sites and social networks, all saying "YAY I can't wait for it to come out", "I can't wait to get excited" etc. They're even talking about it on TV news since it's an international Disney film.

Re: [REQ] Lilo & Stitch (2025)
On the other hand, the scene that I liked and that made me laugh when I saw the original is the one where Nani runs after Lilo in the corridors, I expect a clip about this.
The little girl is a troublemaker and that's exactly what I like, even Stitch is a little troublemaker alien, much worse than the original, the director did a great job maintaining both the story and especially the cast of the original.

I also like the part where she beats the shit out of her hula classmate. They'll either omit that or tone it down, but it would still be good to have something on par with that in live action. Some of these things are more acceptable in animation, but with some tact you could have something live-action with the same impact.
Re: [REQ] Lilo & Stitch (2025)
There is a scene where Lilo hides in a stove, but the scene was modified and replaced with a closet or cabinet. I like the original scene better.

Re: [REQ] Lilo & Stitch (2025)
From Wikipedia, I read that Disney had announced the remake of Lilo & Stitch already in October 2018, but in 2020 due to that bastard COVID-19 that completely stopped the whole world, the production was postponed, filming had started in 2022, while the final cast was announced in April 2023. The film suffered further delays due to the writers' strike in the same year. Filming, which took place mainly in Oahu in Hawaii, was supposed to begin on March 13, 2023 and end on June 16 of the same year, however the first day of filming was postponed to April 17.
So the actress Maia Kealoha, the one who plays "Lilo" in the film, was 6 years old in 2022, this means that now that we are in 2025, Maia is 9 years old, in fact following her on Instagram in the photos, I see her a little grown up, compared to the film which was younger. If they make a sequel in the future, we will probably see Maia as a teenager.
This is the photo I took from her official Instagram account managed by her parents. Just to make you notice the difference in her age compared to the one in the film which was younger.

On the official channel of "Disney Italia", they published a video where Stitch lands on his spaceship in Italy exactly in Florence, it is let's say an Italian advertisement where the statue of Stitch is shown. If you want you can go and visit it in the museum in Florence.

Whoa that's weird. I never saw that. (But it's actually the other way around)Sully23 wrote: Sat May 17, 2025 3:39 am There is a scene where Lilo hides in a stove, but the scene was modified and replaced with a closet or cabinet. I like the original scene better.
Why the hell would there be a pizza oven in the laundry room? Wouldn't it be hazardous to hide inside an oven too?
