It should be something like a prequel for Un poison violent (2010) viewtopic.php?f=13&t=7055 made by the same director, Katell Quillévéré. One of the few reviews available says that it's even better than the future feature film, but sadly, no more info could be found...

Thank you jezevex and art! I had no idea Un poison violent had a connection to a short film.

Katell Quillévéré est devenue la réalisatrice des drames familiaux par excellence, drames qui explorent avec intensité et perspicacité les troubles émotionnels et relations entre les personnages.

Katell Quillévéré's all other films (as director or writer), particularly, À bras le corps (2005) and L'échappée (2009), are also worth watching.

Machine-translation:
Katell Quillévéré has become the director of family dramas par excellence, dramas that explore with intensity and insight the emotional turmoil and relationships between characters.

Pénélope-Rose Lévèque is beautiful! Probably 15 in this movie?

I can't find any information on the production of this film but Pénélope was born on September 26, 1991 and it premiered at the Tous Courts Short Film festival on December 6, 2007. A little over two months after she turned 16. The submission deadline for inclusion for that festival is mid-June. So a copy had to be submitted to their committee by then.

They're basically outside the entire time and in the woods. Based on the state of the foliage, green but not completely filled in and lush like mid-summer I'm going to guess they filmed in the spring, April or early May. If it was 2007 they would've then had up to two months for post-production. That's doable for a 13 minute short without a lot of fancy editing or special effects.

But because of the tight deadline it's possible they filmed the previous year instead, when Pénélope was 14. Anything completed after January 1, 2006 would've been eligible for inclusion in the 2007 festival according to their rules. Without more information we have no way of knowing. She was no older than 15 though, for sure.

Wow, you are the expert on figuring these things out! Thank you! I just wish we had a higher-resolution version of this movie to enjoy the details :)

For what it’s worth, filmmaker friends of mine (students film school etc.) they need many months to finish and then even submit their film to festivals.
