Yes, you did well. When you rename a movie file, you don't need to write "Vimeo," just the movie title and year.

Oh, that's the original default name (I didn't rename the file at all)

Next time I'll rename the files

I can not download from you directly and confirm because I am also LowID. I see your file has a result in "sources info" so my guess is that someone with HighID has connected to you and that all is well with your eMule. Go to Shared Files and look at Transferred Data for that file. If there is any amount then someone has downloaded from you. Some emulers code the names of their files (like jezevex does) for privacy reasons or to try and keep their files for FLM exclusives at least on initial release. Everyone can rename a file how they please. The torrent Scene has strict rules about naming files, but this is not The Scene so we can do what we want!

Nothing yet

Also, the file is in a folder called "Shared Directory" under All Shared Files

is that the normal place it's meant to be?

If you named it correctly and shared it, what you did is right. All that needs to be done now is to wait. After a while, you can see the name of the file you uploaded in the Server Info section at the bottom. Or, in its simplest form, look at the Shared Files - Statistics section. Of course, after clicking on the file... You can see there is movement at the bottom. :)

If you can see the file in your eMule client then it is shared. You can have multiple shared folders. You can create more folders in File Explorer if needed and share them in eMule/Options/Directories. It MIGHT help in your sharing if you Right-click on the file in your eMule client Shared Files tab and and select Priority (Upload) > Release. Of course since I am LowID myself, I have to wait until someone with HighID downloads it before I get anything. That is just part of the game...
Oh yeah, Congrats on your first Release!
