It's strange that the director didn't opt for a younger lead actress, as they did in L' Adolescente (1979).

This film is an anomaly for David Hamilton, Patti D'Arbanville was 26. Who knows why he didn't pick a much younger lead? Most of his actresses were models he photographed previously. When you work with enough models at least a few will show some acting talent. That's how he found girls like Dawn Dunlap and Anja Schüte (who used her appearances in Laura and Tendres Cousines to launch a long and successful career).

There are really only two scenes in Bilitis where we see OT girls. The theater scene, and skinnydipping at the beach. Hamilton's eye candy girls - like most of his leads - tend to be photoshoot models he's previously worked with. You can identify some of them by looking through published images. They can be anywhere in the 10-17 range, the majority between 13 and 16. When names are listed in Hamilton's photo books they are usually just first names ... and who knows if even those are accurate?

Most of the girls in those two scenes are obviously in the range I mentioned. Although we don't know their exact ages individually.

On shortypower it says "nothing found". When you look at file history, there's not a single complete source.
