Really appreciate the painstaking work that went into elevating the quality of what was left of this gem. Nice touches with certain artistic freedom too

I thought the ending would be happy, but then I thought anyway it would be romanticizing love with an age difference

Guess what I saw 3 similar movie in 2 days. all three Italian, same time period and all three have same ending with people dying. looks like there was a trend LOL.Sully23 wrote: Sat Jan 17, 2026 4:31 pm I thought the ending would be happy, but then I thought anyway it would be romanticizing love with an age difference

I didn't like it because I loved Silvia; she was prettier, but she was the villain.ThurstonHowell wrote: Sun Jan 18, 2026 12:56 pm Was Maladolescenza one of them? Another contrived ending imo
At my school, they made us read novels with that kind of ending—those genres known as tragicomedies, even though they don't have comedic elements, they take on a tragic ending tone.MrTea wrote: Sun Jan 18, 2026 12:21 pm Guess what I saw 3 similar movie in 2 days. all three Italian, same time period and all three have same ending with people dying. looks like there was a trend LOL.
