If by upgrade you mean a true 1080p web-dl or bluray, no. The 1080p svt files look like DVD upconversions - the difference between that and an upscale is that they're basically just resizing it to 1080p, not doing anything to the video, which is in line with a remux in terms of quality. I seem to recall there was an actual DVD release. It's been out of print for years though, I can't find a single site that has it in stock anymore. I'd love to see the special features (if there were any).
I learned a while back that if you see something on disc you like, get it. Don't wait. They do run out of copies and sometimes it disappears for good.
