Celle qui reste (2005)
Alice has lost her father and one leg in a car accident. She lives with her mother (Jeanne) and grandfather in a farm. Summer holidays start and she can't go to the sea with other children of the village. Then she meets Vincent, a younger boy who stayed in the village as well, and Alain, the mayor's son who's back in town to train his athleticism female club. Alice would like to run with her prosthesis but Jeanne doesn't want her to run nor to approach Alain... Written by Raphaël Jullien

Not same movie but same actress.

However, Celle qui reste is a good tv-movie. :)

So, a film that I'm going to discover soon, the subject sounds nice : self-esteem and fulfillment through sport. Sorry I couldn't find better than this link :

Thank you for sharing this, DaveTheBoss. This girl is really cute!

I downloaded your file and watched a bit of it, I like the girl and the music soundtrack. I can see what you mean about wanting a newer file, but this is still pretty reasonable. Unsure if you'll easily find an upgrade to a 2005 TV move.

For anyone interested, this 4.96gb file is 1080p and is titled as an amzn web-dl, but looks like a older DVD quality encode. But it is still pretty good!

I see what pillowbaker saw and I think it looks like a SD/DVD upscale, but I have not found any other source. What bother me, however, is the choice of 2.35 aspect ratio. It frequently cuts off head tops and zooms in uncomfortably close on faces. Regular widescreen TV 1.78 would look MUCH better for this TV Movie, expanding the image both up and down. She is an athlete and we ought to see her whole body. Depending on how they shot it, maybe even the traditional European widescreen 1.66 would be best, although I am not sure about that because as a runner she would making frequent horizontal movement across the screen. I suspect that they were NOT filming a TV movie with anamorphic lenses and that the original negative would have MUCH more image on it, which they simply cropped off. For comparison purposes, the running movie "Chariots of Fire" was shot with flat spherical lenses and presented in the theater at 1.85.

Enough of the film geekery. I did NOT find any subtitles, as I fully expected.

Note, the screenshots below were chosen simply to show the movie and NOT to demonstrate my aspect ratio gripe.
