Re: DNS problem
Looks like I'm the only one here. That sucks
Re: DNS problem
The domain name expired and for a short while it pointed at one of those ad-filled pages, until it was renewed. The webhosting was never affected.
It's possible your system or your ISP cached the address and that's why you could get here and noone else could. That's also why it may be a few hours or even a day before everyone else can get here, domain address changes don't always propagate quickly.

Thanks FLL, for that explanation. I was pretty much freaked when returning from vacation last night, I tried to log onto FLM only to pull up the ad page you're talking about.
It's a great relief to find the site back online and everything seemingly running smoothly!

Re: DNS problem
I could be unkind & say the holding page was of greater interest than some of the recent postings..........
Seriously though, great news it's back!

Bad timing for you, that page was up for less than 12 hours. Should have taken a longer vacation!kev wrote:I was pretty much freaked when returning from vacation last night, I tried to log onto FLM only to pull up the ad page you're talking about.
I agree it was quite jarring to see it, thankfully most of the members probably missed it.
Hey, I didn't look at it closely, now I am intrigued, can anyone reshare the holding page?loverboy wrote:I could be unkind & say the holding page was of greater interest than some of the recent postings..........![]()
