ROFL, you'll be the last one to get it! Everybody else is downloading and the 80% I've got is very confirmed and real. BTW, I got a preview as soon as the first block was complete.ptguardian wrote:i downloaded enough for preview and could not get a read on the file.so i am still waiting for confirmation. i am dropping off this until it is confirmed.

In case anybody has problems with wmv, here is xvid avi with corrected aspect ratio setting, etc.

Terrific. A co-production of the French Départements "Nord" et "Pas-de-Calais" and the Belgian province of Hainaut (Hennegau in German). Plus arte France/Germany. What about opening a "Europe" - section?

Congratulation, you managed to get the aspect ratio even worse:BizarreLoveTriangle wrote:In case anybody has problems with wmv, here is xvid avi with corrected aspect ratio setting, etc.

WMV2: 720x576 = 0,8 = 5:4
Your avi: 688x560 = 0,81395 = 5:4,xxx...
It should be 16:9 as in the file title indicated, for example 720x405...
Re: [REL] Le Songe (2OO6) [Short]
Raw pixels aren't necessarily the way to calculate the displayed aspect ratio.
PAL DVDs are 720x576 but have a flag that says "display this at 16:9" or whatever. "anamorphic"
Usually XviD avis use a 1:1 pixel display, but not always.
The wmv does not have the proper aspect ratio flags, BLT is right about that. PeterK probably didn't know how to set that or reencode the raw wmv capture, so he settled for putting the correct one in filename. Much better than not sharing it at all!
I don't know whether BLT's file has the aspect ratio flags, I assume it does since he mentioned it, but I haven't gotten any of the file yet.
Most computer players and external devices display the apect ratio properly if the flags are correct, though not all. I am sensitive to this because I own one of those external devices which gets it wrong (so this will display at 5:4 for me and I can't change that without reencoding). But such devices are getting rarer as time goes on and I could solve it by getting a different media player, which I will do at some point.
