You don't have a whole lot of time to get to know the characters, but it's enough to give you a little bit of a shock..

This one was originally found by benjaminblack, but his web link is now dead. starfish posted the video from that link with subs, but your video is much better.

I transcribed the subs from starfish's rip and made a srt. Yes, you can watch without subs, but I think the film works much better with them. These were retimed for kev's version.

I have not seen either but they have the same writer-director so my guess is he made the short as a "proof of concept" to have something to show producers to interest them in funding a full length feature. Like a trailer but for the professionals.

Or maybe he only wanted to do short films and had to be strong-armed into making something longer.

The IMDB Trivia section for the feature says:

The screenplay is written by siblings Andy Muschietti and Barbara Muschietti, expanded from their previous short film of the same name.
