The film is set in Basilicata of 1964. Salvatore (novice Matthew bass) is a twelve-year old boy with a passion for cinema, which pushes him to go cycling on a daily basis at home near friends Catherine (Francesca D'amico) and Alessio (Abdallah Abdul Samad) to attend films screened in a room of the third vision. This passion is opposed by her father (Qamar Zaman), a Communist peasant with the authoritarian father figure and ruler, while the child's mother (Maria Grazia Cucinotta) even though the victim and her husband's succubus trying somehow to protect her children.
