This won't happen until this movie will be released on DVD or Blu-ray. It is only available on VHS so far.Harry789 wrote: Sat Jun 29, 2024 7:57 pm Pls the same update for "Mords.pas.on.t'aime"

[REL] Superbiester! 'Nen Freund zum Geburtstag (1982) Une glace avec deux boules...

I'm curious about the quality of the Blu-ray. It was apparently put out by DigiDream Studios, who have caught a lot flak on the blu-ray.com forums for bad DNR/upscale releases
Re: [REL] Superbiester! 'Nen Freund zum Geburtstag (1982) Une glace avec deux boules...
Harry789 & ghost - I would be happy with a simple Standard Definition TV broadcast VHSrip of a FRENCH audio version of "Mords pas on t'aime" or a DUTCH version of "Le monde de Ludovic"! I gave up looking for both because as ghost says a new media release is probably the only hope.
lsg1310 - I am also curious. In fairness to the labels, the blu-ray.com forums are notorious for trashing 90% of existing BluRay releases because some people always find something to complain about. However, excessive DNR on some movies IS still a problem and it would be very bad if the "Superbiester" BluRay was only an upscale from a DVD source. There are people HERE who can do upscales, so there is no need for an expensive BluRay if they did not go back to the film source.

It's certainly true that there are lots of self-styled movie connoisseurs on those blu-ray.com boards (and other places) who will nitpick every flaw in a release. I own blurays, especially of obscure older films, which are not perfect. A few lines, scratches, and brightness variations, with mono or stereo soundtracks a bit tinnier than we're used to with releases of recent movies - but genuine 1080p resolution and I'm glad to have them. Those kinds of discs will get trashed simply for not having flawless video and full Dolby Atmos sound.
That's not to say that some releases don't deserve a good trashing. I saw a 4K version of Bilitis that looks worse than the standard HD bluray edition. I've ordered a few that turned out to be crap. This year alone I've had two duds. Return to the Blue Lagoon and Young Aphrodites. The first turned out to be the same 1080p web-dl we already have, burned to disc, and the other was a cheap Chinese knockoff that copied the DVD but looks worse (luckily that one cost me a grand total of $12 including shipping). DNR is another issue, some releasers seem to go nuts trying to "clean up" a grainy original and destroy a lot of detail, turn the people into wax figures, etc. Totally defeats the purpose of going to bluray.
You're always taking a risk with any disc. I would guess the ultra-limited edition of Superbiester resulted from conditions imposed by the rightsholders - and if the company has their permission, they probably also had access to the original negatives. But we don't know. It's quite possible if I had found this thing while it was still in stock, I would be just as disappointed as I was with the other two I mentioned.
Holy crap Night - imagine a double feature BD50 with Mords pas on t'aime and Le monde de Ludovic. That would be a must have! Maybe even throw this one in as a special feature:

Remind me to start my own label. Deadman films. I could come up with a cool Punisher style skull logo to put on all my products and my web store. Actually track down the companies that hold the rights to some of this stuff and see if I can persuade them a limited edition bluray would be a better use for their IP than gathering dust on a shelf. Of course I'll need some startup cash to hire the people I need and buy some equipment. Kickstarter maybe?

My memory was actually fine for that one, thanks. The CIC clip is a frequently requested reshare even when I am still resharing it. The full fairly short film is a MUST FIND. Maybe it is hiding in the same closet that preserved "La passion de Jeanne d'Arc".
I don't typically care for double features of otherwise unrelated movies, but if you can find a common theme and add a FOURTH film you would have an amazing box set!!! Your Deadman Films label might actually get me to start buying BluRays again, if only to support a good cause.

I figured you'd know which one I was referring to. That was for other users, who may recall seeing that clip somewhere but didn't know the title of the film it came from. I would've just linked to the appropriate FLM thread but it seems all the images there have been nuked. Some of these movies may, alas, no longer exist. Recently I remember talking about the very first version of The Blue Lagoon from 1923 which had all existing copies destroyed and is now a true lost film. All the way until 1978 the BBC was actually in the habit of throwing out TV movies that weren't scheduled to air again rather than archiving them. Such a waste!
Maybe I won't put the features on a single disc after all. You'll get three, in one of those multi-disc slip cases they use for seasons of a show on bluray. Order directly from our web store during the Christmas season when we slash prices!
Re: [REL] Superbiester! 'Nen Freund zum Geburtstag (1982) Une glace avec deux boules...
I don't see any evidence of pics having been in the thread in first place, but alright. I was really commenting on my SURPRISE at remembering ... anything. The title at least is always on my mind. "Someone is requesting a CLIP of that again??!??!! I am still sharing it!!!"
The BBC was notoriously, ruthlessly insane back in the day. I dare not comment on BBC now.
I like those multi-disc cases but I seem to be in the minority. The problem is getting them shipped to the consumer in unbroken condition because they are expensive to replace. The packaging favored by manufacturers of deluxe editions seems to be DigiPacks, MediaBooks and Steelbooks. All of those are also easy to damage but impossible to replace except with another copy of the BluRay release. They also like posters and artcards, but I have no wall room for posters because of the shelves of movies on disc and what the heck am I supposed to do with artcards? Mail them as postcards?
For YOUR label, my blu-ray.com comment is "First day! Already pre-ordered." I won't wait for sales for those! I will buy up all the copies and then I will be one of the people scalping them at high prices on eBay!

A version with the same language change problem at the timing that I had indicated in my previous post. I guess that the German editing of the film is different from the French one and that these scenes dubbed in German do not exist in the French version. I don't see any other explanation.

Update (Mar 7, 2024): In refreshing the links to this file, which had been deleted, I noticed subs had been posted for this film so I muxed them into the disc and re-posted the new English subtitled .iso for everyone.
Enjoy the exploits of these two lovely sisters.![]()
I was looking for this movie but I think the links are dead (again ?) or maybe I just can't load the pages properly. I also tried Emule and I think my ISP is blocking it.
Could you please Re (re?) upload it ? Thank you for everything.
