**********
EARLY SHORT FILMS FEATURING SHIRLEY TEMPLE.

This post is a bit of a cheat for the Shorts forum, as it includes numbers 2 through 8 of the Baby Burlesks shorts https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Baby_Burlesks presented out of order and Colorized in one 70-minute video. These 7 shorts feature the children speaking in their own squeaky baby-talk voices. The file is LARGE because it is a 480p DVDmux. Normally I avoid Colorization, but in this case the Colorized version of the films was cleaned up so it looks good, while most of the Black&White versions available online look very rough.

The FIRST in the Baby Burlesk series is not in this video and is posted in its original Black&White glory here:
[REL] Runt Page (1932) [USA]. That one is an exception in that the Black&White film actually looks cleaned up and in good condition.

One of the shorts in this video was previously released in Black&White here:
[REL] War Babies (1932) short [USA] I do not have that version so I don't know how it looks.

Multiple Synopses and IMDB links:

An aspiring actress is rejected by casting, but gets her chance to perform when the star doesn't feel like performing. The cast is all young children, performing adult roles.

The Kid's Last Fight (1933)
Diaper Dampsey must defend his diaper-weight championship, but someone has kidnapped his girlfriend to make him lose!

Glad Rags to Riches (1933)
A girl has to decide who to marry: a poor country boy or a rich nightclub owner.

Polly Tix in Washington (1933)
A child runs for the Senate, in a short film where toddlers play adults.

War Babies (1932)
A group of soldiers in a café watch a dancer as she entertains them, but later two of them become rivals over her.

Kid 'in' Africa (1933)
Missionary Cradlebait goes to the jungle to "civilize" the cannibals, but ends up in a cooking pot.

The Pie-Covered Wagon (1932)
In this spoof on the popular silent film, "The Covered Wagon," Shirley finds herself kidnapped, and her friends set out to save her.
I named my DVDmux after the DVD title it came from.
