There are likely to be more. I am catering to a private request, and it is surprising how many of even her later and more popular films have yet to be upgraded to 1080p -- and I have the DVDs. I am archiving the best available sources that I can. (Assuming that MEGA acts as an archive that is.)

At least you can be sure, that noone will use the ed2k links, if you post every time also a MEGA link. :(

Sorry you are wrong, I get eMulers too. Those who use eMule do not want to give it up! With more likes and comments (on my Releases in general) than people eMuling, I assume the rest are MEGAing. Sometimes I download deadman's files in eMule and sometimes MEGA. One method does not preclude another, even if one is consistently faster. I use every method of free downloading that I can figure out.

I just want the MEGA links to remain available for awhile at least, even if I don't have the files "live" on my computer. I used to rely on ulozto to keep links available for others, and ultimately that failed.

One thing on my mind is that every time I upload to MEGA I shut off my VPN, eMule, torrent client, and any other uploader or downloader. That way there is no competition for bandwidth and it goes as fast as possible, because if the upload link breaks I often can not resume it. So if I use MEGA at all then at least SOME of the time I am not sharing on eMule.

I also shut down everything else for downloading fichier and OK.ru links.

I just was assuming, when people have the choice between an eMule link and a MEGA linl, they'll choose the faster and easier way to download the file.
I'm just skeptical, if the file has a chance to spread in the eMule network in this way.

And your files are not "archived" on MEGA. They could be deleted any time. You don't have control over it.

Cheers.

People really are still using eMule even when they have other options! They have their reasons and I will not question them. The MEGA links cut down on the number of people eMuling -- but it also gets people who do not eMule at all. I consider it a win for sharing.

I know, I mostly have given up the illusion of control in my life. I was using "archive" ironically. So far anyway, MEGA seems to leave files available "forever" - until they change their policies like ulozto did. But just like every other online sharer in the world, when I am dead my hard drive contents will be totally inaccessible to the public and the only "archives" will be on other people's hard drives. Whether they reshare by eMule, Usenet, Torrent, direct-download, or brain-direct-WiFi is up to them.
