With a curious naivete, a stray little girl finds herself separated from her family on an afternoon in a city park. Ignored by all, it is her innocent intuition and judgement of character that leads her to depend on a local vagabond for help. In return for friendship, the girl gives the downtrodden man something that he has lost: a symbol of purity and innocence in a life that has withered.
